BALLOON
BURST
Separate your party guests
into two equal groups. Then approximately 25
yards is where you will place two bags of
inflated balloons. Make sure the balloons are
over inflated to making popping the balloons
easier. The use of a bell or whistle will start
the party game. Ask a player from each team to
act as the first two relay contestants, these
players will run up to the bag, and remove one
balloon. The contestants participating in the
game must then sit on the balloon till it pops.
Once the balloon has burst, the players run
back to the starting line, and tag the next
player in line. The first team to complete the
course of bursting all the balloons are the
winners.
Party games like
name that tune can have everyone in stitches -
all you need is a music centre and compact
discs with compilations of songs. If this party
game is to be a success then play the music to
adapt to age groups. For example - the golden
oldies for the older generation and if it is an
eighteenth birthday party (younger generation)
then more updated tunes.
Play the
first few bars, and see which guest can name
that tune in the shortest space of time. Be
sure to keep track of the point system and give
an award to the winner and by doing this it
will make the game more exiting because people
love winning prizes. If your group is large,
play a variation on this game. Using well known
songs, list the song titles on one side of a
sheet of paper, and the original
artists/songwriters overleaf. Give a copy to
each guest. Challenge the guests to match as
many as possible.
For all your
flexible friends then the Limbo game will go
down a treat (excuse the pun)
For this party
game type of entertainment use a string of
sparkling lights, a strand of glittery garland
and a bamboo pole. For fun variation on the
game, you can make it more challenging by
adding a "Super Stomach" padded around the
party guests waist as they each take their
turn.
Another game for
all age groups is the common and popular hip
swirling hula hoop. There are many way the hoop
can be used as entertainment. You can have a
contest for who can keep the hoop swirling
around the waist the longest. Another way the
Hula hoop can be used for is, to have it rolled
along the ground where each guest with the use
of a stick or their hand will run with the hoop
in motion till they reach the finishing
line.
